By now you have probably been seeing and hearing all about Fall/Winter’s trendiest color – oxblood – and hopefully, unlike me, you didn’t immediately think of strange, Satanic rituals or that one scene in Apocalypse Now… While I was admittedly confused when I first heard the word “oxblood,” because, quite frankly, I didn’t know it was even a color, I have since come to know and love the shade for what it is – a deep, rich, warm red hue that looks great on everyone!
So I have another confession: I totally meant to paint an accent nail in a dark navy color, but I totally forgot until I was halfway done painting my nails and by that time, I decided the deep oxblood color could hold its own.
I am wearing NYC polish in “Manhattan” with my favorite super shiny “Lasting Finish Pro” topcoat by Rimmel London.
It can be kind of hard to see the color because it is so dark and it can sometimes look a little more purple or burgundy, so here is an Instagram of my nails with the sun hitting them:
Ooh on a side note, you can also see my new Minnetonka moccasins in this picture. I got them on sale at Marshall’s the other weekend for only $30 and I am in love! They are really comfortable and the suede leather is so soft and luxurious feeling. They are the perfect cozy shoe for the chilly weather we’ve (finally) been having!
Happy Friday and have a great weekend! Thanks for reading:)
