Hello, friends! As you know, tomorrow is the 4th of July and in typical Independence Day spirit, I have come up with a fun red-white-and-blue-all-over manicure! I came across a similar design somewhere on the internet (most likely Pinterest), but I couldn’t find it again so I just did the best I could to recreate the fun confetti polka dots.
I used my new favorite blue polish from O.P.I. as the main color of the manicure and then added a deep red accent nail and festive white polka dots to complete the design. Here are the polishes:
I am wearing: “I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw” blue by O.P.I. (#NL E81), “Penn Station” red by NYC New York Color (#230), “Timeless White” by Sally Hansen (#09) and my favorite “Glossy Pink” top coat by Rimmel London (#160).
Although this blue polish has possibly one of the most abstract names I’ve heard, I absolutely love the deep navy / cerulean hue. It is easily my new favorite and I love the fact that it will work equally well for any season. I can already imagine this beautiful blue during the fall and winter months! But I’m getting ahead of myself, tomorrow is only July 4th after all!
I plan on spending the day in the backyard with family, swimming, BBQ’ing and maybe even lighting some sparklers. Tomorrow is also my sister’s birthday so there is sure to be cake – I can’t wait! What are your plans for the fourth (if you’re celebrating)? I may have to do a catch up post on Friday since I completely forgot to share with you what a fun time my mom and I had at the Color Run last Saturday! (although you probably caught a sneak peek if you follow me on instagram!)
Have a great long weekend! Thanks for reading :)
