Hello, friends, Happy Friday! It’s been a while since I’ve done an outfit post for ya, so I thought I’d share another one of my finds from my mom’s closet cast-offs. There is nothing better than getting a great deal on a great fashion find, except getting it for free! My mom cleans out her closet probably 3 times a year and every time, I make sure to hang around just long enough to see if there’s anything heading out that I can put straight into my own wardrobe rotation. This year I nabbed 2 skirts, 3 tops and 2 handbags – not a bad haul!
Today’s outfit features one of the three tops I scored: a flowy tank top with a black and white pattern body and a great mustard yellow lace-like detail around the neck. Check it out!
I am wearing a lightweight babydoll top (BLANK via my mom’s closet) with a pair of plain black tailored shorts (Old Navy) and my favorite blue bow-detail sandals (Abercrombie & Fitch via Marshall’s). I accessorized with a pair of black stud earrings (H&M), my favorite rose gold watch (Target) and a vintage dark green crossbody purse (vintage Coach via Etsy).
While this top is incredibly comfortable and the lightweight, flowy material is very fun to flounce around in, my favorite thing about it is actually its versatility. I could easily swap out the black shorts for some dark skinny jeans and I’m ready for a summer night out, no extra effort required! You know, for those “warm, suh-hummer niiiii-hiiiiiiiiights!” (Grease, anyone? Anyone?? What? It’s been stuck in my head all morning!)
Next week is going to be super busy for me, but I have some fun posts planned. In the meantime, I hope you have a great weekend, and remember, “It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, it’s what you do with your dancin’ shoes!” (Sorry, couldn’t help myself, I might have to watch Grease again this weekend.)
Thanks for reading :)
