Packing for Outside Lands Festival

August 8, 2013

Hello, friends!  Guess what?!  I am leaving suuuuper early in the morning tomorrow for the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco!!  I am so excited, but I have been so busy that I have left packing until pretty much the last minute (what else is new?).  At least I have been thinking about what I want to wear all week so I have an idea of what I am going to pack.  The hardest part for me is the weather.  Unlike most summer festivals, Outside Lands can get pretty cold and this year the forecast is looking practically freezing.  Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but with a high for the weekend of 59 degrees Fahrenheit, I am planning on packing plenty of layers!

As you can see, I have laid out some of my outfit options that can easily be mixed and matched and layered for warmth.  I have: 3 long sleeve shirts, 2 pairs of skinny jeans, 1 plain black hoodie, 1 weather-prrof windbreaker (did I mention it’s a damp cold in San Francisco??), several pairs of my extra warm hiking socks (my feet are always cold), a pair of beat up tennis shoes (because it is also pretty muddy in the park) as well as the usual pajamas, undergarments and toiletries.  Oh, and how could I forget my “NICE TOTS” shirt!

This will be my fourth year heading up to the bay area with the Boyfriend to sell tots and attend the festival and I could not be more excited.  And this year’s lineup boasts some awesome artists including Paul McCartney (ahhhhhhhh!!!!!), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pheonix, Vampire Weekend, Hall & Oats, Willie Nelson, Young the Giant, Band of Horses, Twenty One Pilots, Daughter and so, so many more!

Needless to say, it is going to be an awesome weekend, just check out my post from last year’s festival (here)!  I still have lots to do to get ready for tomorrow morning (I think we’re leaving at like 4 am – yikes!) so I will leave you here.  Have a fabulous weekend!  Thanks for reading, Kristi :)
