Desert Camping; or Building a Toilet, Hiking & Tarantulas

October 22, 2013

Hello, friends!  I am back from my camping trip in the desert and I have to tell you, I had a blast!  It was the perfect long weekend away – away from work, the stresses of daily life and, most importantly, the chance to be “off the grid” with no internet or even cell reception.  The Boyfriend and I got started early Friday morning, hit the dirt by 10 am and started setting up camp.  Over the next three days, we built a new outhouse (yep, you read that correctly), went on an early morning hike on Saturday, rode ATV’s, did some shooting (with guns and cameras), cooked our meals over an open fire and just relaxed.  Here is the photographic evidence!  ;)

Thank you! I had a ton of fun, and don’t worry, as soon as I snapped that photo of the tarantula we chased it away from camp! :)

Hahahahaha! Thanks! I realize this is a bit of a departure from my usual outfit posts, but I love camping and, more importantly, sharing my “adventures” :)

I like to think of myself like Shrek… I’m an onion, with lots of layers ;)
