Radiant Orchid – Nail Art Link Up

February 24, 2014

Hello, friends!  Today is the first nail art collaboration that I am co-hosting with Piniel of Pin’s Place and the theme is Pantone’s Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid.

I have been totally inspired by the teasing taste of spring weather we’ve been getting here and so I decided to embrace the floral theme of this post for my manicure.  I learned how to do this simple flower years ago when I first got into nail art (probably middle school) and thought the white flowers with dark purple centers would be the perfect compliment to the beautiful radiant orchid purple.

The polishes: NYC “Lincoln Square Lavender” (#264), Sally Hansen Diamond Strength “Timeless White” (#09), Prisma Luminous Color (part of a set), Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro “Glossy Pink” top coat (#160)

Don’t forget to check out the other ladies and their designs for the Radiant Orchid theme!

As always, thanks for reading :), Kristi

PS.  I was having fun taking pictures of my nails in the garden when I spotted these incredible flowers.  Aren’t they almost alien-looking with the contrasting bright colors and red fuzz?!

Wow! This is extremely beautiful. And great pictures as well! You put in so much in your blog!! And well, this is a lovely idea for those who have not exactly become fan of the hue. At least the pantone color of the year can be used in a manicure beautifully :)

OMG gorgeous! I just got shellac nails done for the first time this week and I love them. Next time i should ask for little flowers, they are so nice and a sweet reminder of spring (please hurry spring, it’s too cold still!).
