Hello, friends! Two Thrift Style Thursday posts in one week?! Yup, it’s happening, get ready!
I was sick for last week’s Thrift Style Thursday, so I posted my Hippie / Boho look on Tuesday, but there was no way I was going to skip out on today’s nautical theme! I love the classic combination of navy and white stripes and I have absolutely been dying to wear my new-to-me thrifted romper, so this outfit was a natural choice.
I also have a funny story about my accessories… You see, I tried desperately to fit in a photoshoot yesterday morning before I had to leave the house, but it just didn’t happen. I did, however, manage to put my outfit together, including borrowing my mom’s fabulous thrifted necklace. Since I didn’t have time to actually take the photos, I set the outfit aside to wear today. Fast forward to last night when I got home. I realized I had grabbed my mom’s necklace without her knowing, so I go into her room to let her know I will be wearing it only to find her in the midst of putting together an outfit with jewelry all over the place because she wanted to wear, but coulnd’t find, the particular necklace I had borrowed. Oops! Luckily, my mom changed her mind and decided to wear some statement earrings instead of the necklace so I get to show it off today. Thanks, Mom! ;)
The details: gray romper (New York & Co., thrifted) // navy & white stripe terry crop top (American Eagle, old) // blue bow sandals (Abercrombie & Fitch via Marshall’s) // blue stud earrings (H&M) // necklace (borrowed from Mom, thrifted from Plato’s Closet) // bangle bracelets (borrowed from Mom) // braided suede bracelets (handmade)
