Fun, Flirty, Floral | Thrift Style Thursday

June 26, 2014

Hello, friends!  I am super excited for today’s Thrift Style Thursday theme – florals – because I secretly really, really wanted this theme to get voted for, and now it has!  I looooove floral prints of all colors, shapes, and varieties.  There’s just something so fun and girly about a floral print, especially when it’s on a twirly dress!

I was pretty stoked when I found this ASOS dress at a local Salvation Army, and even more excited when I tired it on and it fit so well!  I love browsing through the ASOS website, but I’ve never ordered anything because, not having tried their clothes before, I wasn’t sure how they would fit and if the cost and shipping would be worth it.  I can now say, however, that this is my new favorite casual dress!  I love being able to throw it on with just about anything – from heels, like these wedges, to flats, sandals or even tennis shoes.  Not to mention that it’s soft, flowy and so, so comfortable!

I kept today’s look simple, with just a few accessories, to let the amazingness (that’s totally a word) of the dress shine through.  Here are the details:

dress (ASOS, thrifted) // wedges (Mia via DSW) // beaded bracelets (??) // turquoise stud earrings (gift)

Pretty dress! I have not tried anything from ASOS before either, but I have loved everything on their website. I do believe they have a good return policy if something doesn’t fit – but I think it’s even better that you found that at the thrift store, it’s a better deal!

Such a perfect, girly floral dress!!! And even better finding ASOS at Salvation Army…nice! I’ve ordered a few things from ASOS but ended up returning all of them. The sizing was really big and the fit was weird. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try ordering sometime :)

Thank you! I was stoked to find this dress!! I’ve heard that ASOS sizing can be on the big side, but my main thing with ASOS is that I feel like most of the dresses I like are their more simple skater style dresses and usually I could make something for much less than they charge, which is why finding this dress at the thrift store for less than $8 was SO worth it! :)
