Summer Nights Nail Art Link Up

June 27, 2014

Hello, friends!  I am super excited to share another manicure with you today for the super fun Nail Art Link Up I am co-hosting with Piniel of PinsPlace!

This is only our second time hosting a Nail Art Link Up, but just in case you missed my previous post announcing the link up, it’s super simple!  Basically, we choose a theme – today’s theme is “Summer Nights” – post our manicures inspired by the theme on our sites, and then share links to each others’ posts.  You can check out these other lovely ladies’ posts below:

Piniel from PinsPlace

Justine from The Two Cent Chick

And here is my Summer Nights inspired nail look, featuring the sultry shades of a warm summer sunset, with a teensy bit of glitter to reflect the beautiful starry sky on a clear summer night!

The polishes (from right to left): “Reggae Splash” from Rimmel London’s Salon Pro “Kate” line (#705) // “Lincoln Square Lavender” by NYC (#264) // “Nolita’s Lavender” by NYC (#265) // an iridescent purple from Prisma’s “Luminous Color” line // “I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw” by O.P.I. // “Pizzazz” by China Glaze (#1120) // Base & Top Coat by Rimmel London (#100)

I have been totally digging all of these colors lately, especially the deep navy and my two new shades, “Lolita’s Lavender” (the lighter blueish purple) and “Reggae Splash,” which reminds me of the orange stripe in rainbow sherbet ice cream!  What do you think??  What would you have done for Summer Nights inspired nail art?

As always, thanks for reading!  – Kristi :)

PS.  I’ve been thinking of making these nail art link ups a more regular post here on the blog.  Would you be interested?  If we posted themes and shared our nail art once a month, would you join in??

Twinsies!!! Love that you did the “sultry” shades of a sunset ;) Beautiful color choices, and yay for affordable nail polish brands! I would definitely do more of these link ups, and once a month sounds perfect.

Hurray! Haha thank you, I really love all of these colors, although I’m quickly running out of excuses to justify buying any more polish!! ;)
I’m so excited to hear you’re in, we’ll have to have a twitter sesh to brainstorm more theme ideas! :)
