Hello, friends, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! (If you are in the U.S., anyway!)
The theme for today’s Thrift Style Thursday is outerwear, and I’d love to show you pictures of some cute dress and an even cuter jacket, all dressed up and ready to go to Thanksgiving dinner… but it’s TOO HOT! So, this is what I’ve got for you instead:
I feel terrible even posting these pictures of my thrifted plaid shirt as “outerwear,” especially when there are people who are practically buried in snow right now, but it’s been in the 80’s all week and even wearing this was a bit much. People have been wearing shorts and a tank top for crying out loud! Anyway, enough about the weather since I’m trying real hard not to complain/brag.
If you’ve been hanging out with me for a while now, you probably recognize this shirt from previous posts on my blog and social media. That’s because it might just be my absolute favorite plaid shirt (of MANY!), which I thrifted on a visit to Utah. It is a men’s shirt that I love wearing as outerwear, with leggings or tucked into a pair of jeans. Simple, comfortable and on-trend. The combat boots are another favorite that I got on super clearance, and the jeggings are a recent purchase from the new Uniqlo store!
The details: plaid shirt (thrifted) // burgundy jeggings (Uniqlo) // brown combat boots (DSW) // red stud earrings (H&M)
Despite the crazy hot weather, I am thankful for so much! I am so blessed with a wonderful family, several super fun, cool jobs that I love, the most fantastic boyfriend on the planet, and more caring, amazing and beautiful friends that I could ever ask for! And, of course, YOU, the fun, sweet, stylish, crafty, all around superb people that come to my blog to read, comment and share with me, including the fabulous Thrift Style Thursday gals!! Thank you!
Don’t forget to check out the Thrift Style Thursday facebook group page to see how my fellow thrifty fashionistas are styling their (actual) outerwear! ;)
I am having dinner with family at my sister’s house today (if you’re lucky, you might catch my cuter-than-cute nephews on Instagram)! Do you have any fun Thanksgiving plans?? What are you thankful for this year?
As always, thanks for reading! Love & turkey legs, Kristi :)
