Weekend Update: Sesame Street Birthday & a New Top

December 8, 2014

Hello, hello, and welcome to Delightfully Kristi!

It has been quite the process getting everything moved over to my new site, but I hope you like it!  I am definitely not done revamping – I have SO much work left to do – but I am very excited to introduce you to my new brand, Delightfully Kristi!

After spending 6+ hours straight working on moving my blog last Friday, however, I was soooo ready for the weekend!  Happily, my family happened to be celebrating two very important birthdays this week, the 1st birthdays of my twin nephews, yippee!

I cannot believe it has been a whole year since Ace (left) and Nash (right) were born – they are growing so fast and are so smart and sweet and funny!  They are just the most good-natured, happy babies and we all adore them to pieces.  :)

My sister threw them a Sesame Street themed birthday party since they love it whenever Sesame Street is on T.V.  So, when she went looking for Elmo and Cookie Monster shirts for the boys, I quickly volunteered to make them because I just knew it would be the perfect gift!  I think they came out pretty darn cute, if I may say so myself!

We had so much fun, and my sister did an amazing job with the theme for the party, making the decorations and desserts.  Of course the best part of any party is always dessert, but even better was watching the boys chow down on their very own cupcakes!!

Hahaha they are just too hilarious!  Ace (on the right) was really getting into it, grabbing hunks of cupcake and frosting with both hands; although, Nash (on the left) was definitely not far behind!

Anyway, I also wanted to share this new tunic top that I got at Target on Friday night for only $6.88!  They had some awesome stuff on the clearance racks at legitimate clearance prices (none of that 20% nonsense that they call clearance), so I scooped up this tunic without a second thought.

The details: sheer tunic top (Target) // white camisole tank top (Target) // super skinny jeans (Old Navy) // taupe laser cut booties (gift) // bracelet (handmade)

Well, I hope you like my new blog.  As I’ve said, there’s still so much I want to do with my site, and I’ll be making more changes slowly as I, well, figure out what the heck I’m doing haha!  I am telling you, I have learned more web-lingo and technical mumbo-jumbo than I ever thought I would have, but it’s been so gratifying and exciting!

In the meantime, I’ve got tons more great DIY’s, outfits and adventures to share with you, including another eShakti stunner, a super easy last minute gift tutorial and a special mini vacation which I am leaving for on Wednesday – hurray!

I hope you stick around, and please feel free to send any feedback my way as I continue tweaking my new site (especially if you come across anything that is not working!).  As always, thanks for reading!

First of all, the blog looks freakin FABULOUS! You truly did an amazing job. I totally understand all the work that goes into this, as you know, but it’s all worth it in the end :) Seriously looks great.

Next, I had no idea you had an Etsy page. Why didn’t I know that before?!?!?

Also, your nephews are absolutely adorable. Looks like the party was an absolute blast. So colorful!

The Target tunic is so cute. And that price?! Danggg. I’m with you on the real deal clearance, too. 20% off does not a clearance price make.

Can’t wait to see what the future holds for your blog!!!

Aw and thanks, my nephews are the greatest and the party was totally a blast! And I am loving my super clearance tunic, too!
Thanks for being such an awesome blog friend!! :)
