Star Wars Celebration 2015

April 20, 2015

Wait, quick disclaimer: this post contains very nerdy content.  And lots of unnecessary capital letters, and exclamation marks.  You have been warned.

Okay, YOU GUYS!!  I got to go to Star Wars Celebration on Saturday!!!!!!!!!

Star Wars Celebration 2015 Anaheim

At first, Derek and I weren’t sure we were going to be able to go because tickets were kind of pricey and we’re both saving money and we weren’t sure it would be worth the cost.  BUT THEN, his aunt hooked us up with free passes for Saturday, and it was AWESOME!

I will admit that, compared to other conventions, this one was pretty small, and crowded, and the lines were insane, BUT there was just so much cool stuff to see.  I pretty much geeked out the entire time!  From the amazing cosplayers, to the exclusive toys & content, to the fun and camaraderie of all of the fans, it was a great day.

I took a zillion pictures, but I managed to narrow it down to just a few, so on the off chance you are still interested, here’s a slideshow:

As I said, there was so much cool stuff to see, but I think the two highlights for me personally were the original costumes created by fans – the cosplay was on point! – and the movie props and set recreations.

It is always fun seeing one of your favorite movies (or series) brought to life in person, and Star Wars Celebration 2015 was no exception.  Having grown up with two brothers, one in particular who really loved the movies, it was really neat to be able to experience such an incredible event.  I really had a blast, and I wish I could describe it all, but I don’t think any more words would do it justice.

So, on that note, the unnecessary capitalization is over.  Thanks for reading!

Delightfully, Kristi (signature)

PS.  Anyone else excited for J.J. Abrams take on the Star Wars saga??  ;)
