“April showers bring May flowers” has always been one of my favorite sayings because I always like to add that being born in May makes me a May flower, too! Cheesy, I know, but May is one of my favorite times of the year, and not just because of my birthday. ;)
For my May flower nail art, I chose to create simple pastel dot flowers with metallic gold centers and emerald green polka dots (because emerald is the May birthstone, ya know). In fact, I got a free Julep Maven box for my birthday which included three of the colors I’m wearing in this manicure!
The polishes: pastel blush “Easy Going” by Sinful Colors // mint green “Ali,” metallic gold “Zelda,” & emerald “Becca” all by Julep
I am also very excited by the fact that my index finger nail is almost completely grown back out and looking almost normal after my little sewing accident!! I decided it was finally long enough to paint it again – yippee!
I’ve gotten plenty of practice with my dot flowers, but I love the way the gold pops against the pastel blush and mint hues, and the emerald adds just enough depth to finish the look. Have you ever tried your hand at flower nail art??
