It’s ladies night for this week’s Thrift Style Thursday with the theme chosen by yours truly!
You see, I have a bit of a bad habit thrifting way more dresses than I could possibly wear, so I’ve decided to turn over a new leaf and only buy pieces that are more versatile – thrifted or otherwise. To me, that means dresses that can be worn on multiple occasions, like my dress for today’s outfit, which can easily transition from day to night, or from the office to a girls night out!
I like to keep my “girl’s night” looks pretty simple and more playul / fun than dressy. I actually wore this outfit to go out for a pho dinner with one of my best friends (they opened a new pho restaurant by my house, but apparently they’re closed Wednesday nights so we had to go to our old stand-by pho place).
The details: black & white stripe dress (thrifted) // black sparkly sandals (Marshall’s) // necklaces (borrowed from Mom) // druzy bracelet (WalMart) // silver bracelet (gift) // silver ring (hand-me-down) // silver headband (gift) // black stud earrings (H&M)
I had so much fun adding all of the sparkly, glittery details to this simple dress to make it less business and more fun! I could also see this dress being even more dressed up with some heels, a fancy clutch purse and a nice sweater.
What do you like to wear for a night out with your girlfriends? Do you prefer to get all dressed up or keep it simple??
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Thrift Style Thursday crew – and new member Alison of Nouveau North Westerners – to see what looks they’re styling girls’ night!
