Happy Thursday, friends, and hello almost-weekend!! Today’s Thrift Style Thursday theme is “Red Hot” brought to us by Andrea of Little Did You Know because summer is heating up, and so are the TST gals! ;)
As soon as I saw this week’s theme, I knew exactly what I wanted to wear! I mean, this red dress pretty much screams “red hot,” am I right?? The color could not get more red, and the lightweight shift style makes it perfect to wear on a hot summer day. Those of you who have been around my blog for a while, however, might recognize this dress from when I thrifted it way back in February…
I first styled this Old Navy shift dress for our “Color Pop” theme back in winter with a long cardigan, belt and boots. For summer, I left the dress plain to show more of the shift shape and added lighter accessories. Looking at that photo, I am also missing my pixie hair like crazy. I need a haircut ASAP!!
The details: red shift dress (Old Navy via Salvation Army) // black jeweled sandals (XOXO via Marshall’s) // black stud earrings (H&M) // bracelets (gifts, handmade)
Are you a fan of the color red? I used to not like red very much, but I’ve since warmed to it (pun intended!) once I realized that it looks pretty good with my coloring. What’s your favorite way to wear hot hues??
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Thrift Style Thursday girl gang to see how they’re styling their red hot summer look! And please welcome our newest member Amalia of Second Breakfast!
As always, thanks for reading! :)
