It’s a “Spooky Nights” themed #MonthlyMani, let the countdown to Halloween begin!

I thought I was excited for Halloween before, but after painting my nails with my little “monsters,” I simply cannot wait!  I am so ready for Hocus Pocus and candy!  AND, this year I am going to Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland for the first time ever with Ruby and her mom – yay!  Oh, and then, to top things off, I am going to Comikaze, LA’s biggest comic and pop culture convention on Halloween – double yay!

Now, on to my nails!  I decided to go with a “things that go bump in the night” theme for my Spooky Nights nails, creating a different monster on each nail.  Starting with base coats in white, black, bright orange and dark metallic silver.  Then,  I created the creatures using white and black skinny brush polishes designed especially for nail art.

As you can see, from pinky to thumb, I created a skull, spider web, vampire fangs, jack-lantern and ghostly eyes.  I used what felt like a million polishes, and then finished the look off with glow-in-the-dark top coat, ’cause Halloween.  Obvi.

(Psst!  The glow in the dark top coat was really hard to photograph, and, I’ll be honest, I’ve creeped myself out by catching sight of my glowing nails in the dark, BUT COOL, RIGHT?!)

Before I get completely carried away, don’t forget to check out the rest of the Monthly Mani gals to see their fun and festive Spooky Nights nails!

What is your favorite monster or creature (if any at all)??  I’m partial to vampires and zombies, myself, thanks to The Walking Dead and Buffy the Vampire Slayer haha!

Thanks for reading!

Thanks, Justine!! I had so much fun with this month’s theme; every time I catch sight of my nails, it makes me happy!! :)
I think the thumbs are actually my favorite, they just look so inquisitive, like curious little ghosts haha! ;)
