In honor of my Halloween costume this year – the Eleventh Doctor from Doctor Who – I decided to geek out one step further and create a Doctor Who themed manicure to go with the costume!
(Psst! If you haven’t seen my thrifted Doctor Who costume yet, you should definitely check it out!)

I kept the manicure itself fairly simple by going with a “deep space” navy blue base color and adding swirls of multicolored glitter to each finger (the trail of the Tardis, perhaps?). For an accent, I added a red bow tie on each ring finger (to represent the Eleventh Doctor, of course), and the feature of the manicure – a Tardis on each thumb!

To create the Tardis, I once again turned to my new skinny brush nail art polishes for the lines and for the bow tie, I used my dotting tool to create two triangles with a dot in the center. Easy peasy! ;)

I have to say, I am really impressed with the performance of those nail art polishes, especially considering I bought them for a dollar each at Dollar Tree. The skinny brushes are perfect for creating lines and drawing simple shapes, and I can’t wait to keep practicing with them and coming up with more fun designs!
In the meantime, I am off to the Comikaze convention tomorrow to hopefully meet some more Doctors, companions, Daleks, and all sorts of other fun cosplayers from all over the geek-iverse! Happy Halloween, thanks for reading! :)
