Can you believe it is December 1st already?? The past couple weeks have absolutely flown by! Sadly, it’s been radio silence over hear at Delightfully Kristi for a few reasons, the biggest one being that I have a nasty cold that it is taking me forever to ditch. I am finally starting to feel somewhat better, but between work, this awful cold and all of my other commitments, I have had zero leftover energy for blogging or social media of any kind. That being said, I am excited to get back into the swing of things, and I am so excited for the holidays!!
Being sick has basically meant that I’ve been bundling up in my handmade blanket scarf, drinking lots of Throat Coat tea (seriously the BEST stuff for a sore throat), and working on various sewing projects in between work. I’ve also gotten a jump start on my Christmas shopping by hitting up some Cyber Monday sales and a quick trip to TJ Maxx with my mom.
Thankfully, I am feeling much better and I already have another fun outfit post planned for later this week. Also, since I totally missed the second half of the #bpsewvember photo prompt for November, I’m going to try to do the 12 Days of Christmas #sewphotohop on Instagram with House of Pinheiro – so get ready for more fun sewing and crafting photos!
In other news, I did manage a fun trip to the zoo with the Boyfriend and his parents before my cold got totally out of hand. Animals never cease to fascinate and amaze me and every trip to the San Diego Zoo is fun because you never know what animals will be out and about. This time around I got to see the “baby” panda (who is now 3 years old), an otter and monkey play fighting, and the gigantic hippo enjoying a water jet!
I didn’t want to lug around my DSLR for this trip, especially since I wasn’t feeling 100%, but I figured it was the perfect opportunity to test the camera on my new phone. I just got the new Samsung Galaxy S6 for a great deal at T-Mobile, and I’ve been playing around on it while trying to catch up on my rest.
So, anyway, that’s what’s been going on in my neck of the woods. What have you been up to lately? Are you already busy with holiday crafting, shopping and parties??
Thanks for reading (and thanks for sticking around)!
