Casual Holiday Outfit + Festive Fun

December 22, 2015

It’s holiday time, time to make sure those halls are decked and your jingle bells are ready for ringing!  I’ve been getting into the holiday spirit lately, listening to non-stop Christmas music, working on a fun little dress for Christmas Eve and getting ready for upcoming festivities.

Today’s casual holiday outfit has a hint of holiday and a whole lot of comfort and fun!  I decided to play around with pattern mixing with a stripe sweater and my favorite handmade plaid blanket scarf.  I paired the sweater with burgundy jeggings and my favorite riding boots.

To me, black and white stripes are always a good choice for pattern mixing because they’re neutral and stripes are easy to pair with other patterns like polka dots, florals or, in this case, plaid.  I also love these burgundy jeggings because they are comfortable and perfect for a casual holiday outfit.

Speaking of which, I am so excited to spend some time with my family and friends over the next couple weeks.  I am going to Disneyland with my favorite girl, celebrating my nephews’ birthday on Christmas Eve, celebrating Christmas of course, and hopefully getting together with friends next week as well!

Do you have any go-to pieces for pattern mixing?  Any fun plans over the holidays??

Thanks for reading, and Happy Holidays!!  :)

Delightfully, Kristi (signature)
