St. Patrick’s Day | Workwear Wednesday

March 16, 2016

I will admit that I do not celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in any other way than by wearing the color green; but, I do have fond memories of my second grade teacher decorating our classroom at recess with chocolate gold coins and streamers and saying that a leprechaun visited our class while we were outside.  We all believed hook, line and sinker – it was great!  That being said, I am very excited about my St. Patrick’s Day Workwear Wednesday look today!!

This green and pink pineapple print top is a recent score from Nordstrom Rack that I got for only $11 on super clearance!  It’s a little different from my typical wardrobe, but I simply could not pass up the fun, bright colors, the super cute pineapple print, or, my favorite detail, the extra long dip hem.

The details: green pineapple print blouse (Nordstrom Rack) // black tech skinny pants (Kohl’s) // gray drapey cardigan sweater (old) // patent leather flats (Steve Madden, old) // triangle stud earrings (Ann Taylor Loft)

I kept the rest of the outfit simple since the blouse is pretty loud and makes enough of a statement on its own.  The black pants are fairly old (though I think they still sell them at Kohl’s), and are my absolutely favorite “work” pants.  They are an ultra lightweight and super comfortable tech material that is perfect for long days.

Don’t forget to check out Justine over at The Thrifty Girl’s Guide and Nout at Sandpaper Kisses to see how they styled their green St. Patty’s Day workwear looks!

Do you wear green every year for St. Patrick’s Day?  What’s your favorite way to style a St. Patrick’s Day workwear look??

As always, thanks for reading!  :)

Do you remember in pre school going out to recess and coming back and finding leprechaun footprints? It’s one of my most vivid memories of Community Christian and I thought it was absolutely amazing. I’m pretty sure it was Ms. Doris’ room, the one right across from the office to the left when you walked in the door. (How can I remember all of this????) ???????????? I still hope that one of these days I’ll see more leprechaun footprints.

I don’t remember that! How DO you remember all of that?!?! I have only a few memories from preschool including playing house at recess in the sandbox, tripping and skinning my knee (still have that scar) and the big Christmas recital (and a few other vague memories) haha! I just remember Mrs. Gurney making a big deal out of St. Patrick’s Day and leprechauns in 2nd grade (though I’m pretty sure you were at another school at that point, right?). That’s so funny, though, that you remember all that from Community Christian!! :D

THANK YOU!! I really love this top even though it’s totally not something I would normally pick for myself. It’s fun finding new things outside your comfort zone that you love! ;)
