Happy 3rd Tuesday of the month – it’s #MonthlyMani posting day!! Our theme this month is “Mixed Prints,” which means it’s time for some pattern mixing! I chose to highlight some fun nail art stickers in a hot pink and gold Aztec nail art design with, duh, even more fun patterns thrown in the mix! (See what I did there, eh?? Ok, never mind, here’s a picture of my nails!)
I started with a base coat of hot pink polish – Julep “Mickey” – and gold glitter polish – Julep “Sienna” – and then added the Aztec print nail art stickers, polka dots, a fun, funky flower and geometric lines with black skinny brush nail polish.
To me, there is just something about hot pink nail polish, ya know?? It’s one of those colors that I am constantly searching for the perfect, exactly what I’m looking for, hue. This polish from Julep is probably my new favorite pink, it’s so vibrant and pretty with just the slightest hint of iridescent shimmer in the light. Plus, the gold and black accents really make it pop!
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the #MonthlyMani crew to see what fun, crazy pattern mixing they got up to this week for our “Mixed Prints” theme!
Have you ever tried mixed prints in your nail art? What’s your favorite way to mix patterns??
