Fashion Fact: Nothing says “professional” like a blazer. Which is actually one of the many reasons I resisted getting a blazer for so long. In fact, my very first blazer I ever bought was this one, which I thrifted, and, to my surprise, loved! I still don’t need to wear a blazer often, but now that I know how versatile they can actually be, I do have a couple more in my closet, including my black and blue striped blazer that I’m sharing today.
I found this ultra-comfortable Ellen Tracy knit blazer at Costco, of all places, for only $12! I love the combination of the bright cobalt blue and black stripes and, of course, the polka dot lining. I wore this to work last week when I was proctoring an A.P. test and needed to look a little more professional than usual. Paired with gray skinny jeans, a white blouse and nude flats (because you bet I was on my feet all day!), the outfit was comfortable, but still showed confidence and competence.
The details: black and blue striped blazer (Ellen Tracy via Costco) // white blouse (Ann Taylor LOFT Outlet) // gray skinny jeans (Gap Outlet) // nude flats (Steve Madden, old) // layered silver necklace (Ann Taylor LOFT Outlet) // white & black earrings (vintage)
