While I am away on my trip, I thought it would be fun to talk about one of my other favorite summer activities – music festivals! I know Coachella has come and gone, which is fine by me because, if I’m being honest, I’ve never been and I’m not too sure it would really be my type of festival. That being said, I do love music festivals!
Over the years, I’ve attended a ton of concerts and festivals, but one of my favorites has bee the Outside Lands festival held in San Francisco every August. It is a massive festival in Golden Gate Park with over six stages, tons of incredible music acts, comedy acts, beer lands, wine lands, and – one of my favorite parts – tasty, tasty food offerings from some of San Francisco’s best restaurants and food trucks!
I was lucky enough to work for one of the food vendors at the festival for three years in a row with my boyfriend, Derek. In fact, some of my all-time favorite memories are from working in the Q Restaurant booth selling tater tots to festival goers and then, of course, enjoying the rest of the festival. Here’s my post from the last festival we attended in 2013 and the year before that in 2012.
Sadly, we haven’t been able to attend Outside Lands since 2013, which makes me super sad. But, when TickPick – a concert and NFL ticket site and more – had the idea to share what my perfect music festival line-up would be, I admit I was totally intrigued. I mean, who would I pick for a festival lineup if I could pick any bands/performers?? I decided if I’m going for it, I’m going to really go for it and pick some of my all-time favorite artists, even if this lineup is technically impossible…
Without further ado, here is my perfect festival lineup:
Obviously, several of the artists on my list are no longer living, BUT can you imagine the awesomeness?! The Beatles and Weezer are probably the two bands that I have listened to the most, along with Taking Back Sunday. Sadly, I did keep Taking Back Sunday off the list because they just didn’t mesh as well with the rest of the lineup. Although, I will admit that the lineup as a whole is not entirely cohesive, but I think it would be amazing to see all of these bands in one venue… Sigh, a girl can dream, right?
So, now’s the big question: who would YOU pick for your perfect festival lineup?? Got any concert tickets for this summer?
As always, thanks for reading! :)
