A new year, a new #MonthlyMani!
Happy New Year, friends! 2017 is here and I am ready to get back to blogging, starting with a new wintry themed Monthly Mani. This month’s theme is “Frost Bite,” and I decided to go with chilly ombre nail art in a monochrome grayscale color scheme. Check it out!
I figured the white to dark gray color gradient would be a stylish way to interpret the chilly, bare landscape of winter. I’m not so sure I succeeded, BUT it’s also been a while since I tried ombre nail art, so I thought it would be fun to give it another go!
The process for creating ombre nail art is super simple! I started with three colors blotted in adjacent rows on the back of a paper plate. Then, I took my sponge brush, dipped it in the paint and then sponged it right on to each nail. This does create a bit of a mess on the skin surrounding the nail itself, but that’s why I keep a cap full of nail polish remover nearby with some cotton swabs for quick and easy cleanup.
Don’t forget to check out Melissa over at The Fashion Huntress to see what she came up with for our Frost Bite theme!
Have you ever tried ombre nail art? If not, you should definitely give it a try, it’s really easy!
As always, thanks for reading! :)
